About elections in Israel
I'm Bartłomiej Paruzel, and I built ElectioMap to map national elections around the world. This is the Israel hub on ElectioMap — it brings together the 7 Israel elections I cover: 6 with the official results, vote and turnout shares to two decimal places (and, where the electoral authority publishes an official regional breakdown, an interactive map you can explore region by region), plus a preview of the upcoming vote.
Israel elects its 120-member parliament, the Knesset, by closed-list proportional representation in a single nationwide constituency — one of the purest proportional systems in the world. Seats are allocated by the d'Hondt (Bader–Ofer) method above a 3.25% threshold, 61 seats form a majority, and because no party has ever won one outright, every Israeli government is a coalition. Politics is organised into blocs defined by attitudes to Benjamin Netanyahu — Israel's longest-serving prime minister — religion and the state, and security. Between April 2019 and November 2022 the country held five elections in under four years, a deadlock finally broken when Netanyahu's right-religious bloc won 64 seats in 2022. Elections are administered and certified by the Central Elections Committee. This page collects the Knesset elections covered by ElectioMap, from the 2015 vote that produced Netanyahu's fourth government through the repeat-election era to the term that runs until 2026.

Every figure on ElectioMap is taken from the official electoral authority for Israel — the national election commission or equivalent body that certifies the count. I enter vote and turnout percentages exactly as published, to two decimal places and without rounding, and show seat totals wherever a chamber is being filled.
